How this all started….

A dream. It all started with a dream. This isn’t referring to a long standing dream- a desired a hope for something that one wants in the future. We are talking about an actual dream one has while asleep. 

In November of 2023, Nathan woke up one morning, describing a dream he had. In this very detailed, vivid account, he described how dreamt that we were boarding a plane, flying into Dublin, Ireland, and to then boarding a train to go to the Cliffs of Moher. In his dream, it was clear that this wasn’t simply a vacation; we were there to share the Gospel and live as missionaries. Now it’s important to consider, before this dream, we didn’t even know the Cliffs of Moher existed. So as he was telling me this dream, Nathan did as one does in 2025, he googled “famous cliffs in Ireland”. And what image appeared? The breathtaking Cliffs of Moher. 

Sounds crazy, right? I thought the same thing. I knew the Lord had spoken to Nathan a few times through dreams before, but this one couldn’t be from God. And to be honest, I brushed it off. Life was busy with three little children, ages five and younger. Now, this is not to say that I was opposed to doing missions. In fact, I had been on several mission trips in my early 20’s and always thought about the potential of our family doing some sort of ministry in the future. But this just seemed a bit too “out there”,

Nathan had been working in his family’s business for practically his whole life, and neither of us saw any possibility of that changing anytime soon. However, by the time February of 2024 rolled around, just a few short months later, OUR plans for the future were about to drastically change as we began to see the Lord working out HIS plans for us beginning to play out. 

Nathan’s parents sat us down and told us that they would be selling their business ,with the sale completed by April. Though there were lots of emotions, Nathan instantly felt huge relief that they would be selling. It had been a prayer of his that he had prayed for several years that the Lord would both provide him a way out of the business and also provide for his parents. The Lord was so very clearly answering this prayer. 

After the sale of the business, Nathan began to talk more and more about his dream and how he deeply felt we needed to take a visit to Ireland and the Cliffs to step out in faith to see what the Lord might have in store for us. 

I had a lot of hesitation, but agreed to go on an exploratory trip to Ireland to see what doors the Lord might open for us.

So in August of 2024, Nathan and I flew into Dublin, Ireland, and boarded a train to go west, to the Cliffs of Moher. Through a series of connections, we also were able to connect with and visit a local church near the Cliffs. This church is one of only two evangelical churches within a 45 minute drive in any direction. In fact, only 2% of the entire population of Ireland considers themselves to be evangelical Christians.

We fell in love with Ireland. We loved the people; we loved the rich history; we loved the beauty of the land. And specifically, we loved the people of this particular church. They have such genuine hearts to share and proclaim the Gospel, disciple through the teaching of the Word, and have intentional fellowship. 

Which leads us to where we are currently, Lord willing, we will be moving to Ireland! We are in the process of downsizing and purging many of our belongings in preparation. We trust that the Lord is leading us and will direct our every step as we take this big leap of faith, moving across the ocean!
