Our family had the opportunity to spend 2 weeks in Orizaba, Mexico on a mission trip in July. It was one of the most fruitful things we’ve ever done in many ways, and we are extremely thankful to have had the opportunity to go!
Nathan and I have been on short term mission trips before having children, but this was the first trip that we were able to take our children on. What a gift it is to be able to serve in ministry as a family!
Our church has a sister church in Orizaba, and has been sending missions teams to serve down there for many years.
We had wonderful translators who made it possible for us to communicate with others, as we know minimal Spanish ourselves!

Nathan spent a lot of time teaching, leading devotions, and sharing his testimony!

We also spent several days traveling up the mountains to share with a group of people, who are descendants of the Aztecs, and some do not even speak Spanish. They speak Nahuatl!

The food was INCREDIBLE! Some of our favorites were the tamales, mole, and al pastor tacos! The girls even discovered they love cooked cactus!

We cannot say enough about the hospitality shown to us our entire time there. Our host family was beyond generous and kind to open up their home to us!

Lord willing, we will be able to come back and visit again! What a privilege it was to be with other believers and share the hope of the Gospel with others in Mexico!
